When Smart Feels Stupid
You know what's wild about your brain and body?
Sometimes they're a walking contradiction. 🎢
Picture this: I'm sitting in my 8th grade English class, beaming with pride as my teacher reads my essay on "The Outsiders" out loud to everyone. My words are flowing through the classroom, and I'm practically floating on air.
Fast forward two weeks.
I'm sitting alone in the hallway with that same teacher, taking a preposition test. Again. (You know, those pesky words you're not supposed to end a sentence with 😉).
The same brain that could weave together complex themes about belonging and identity couldn't grasp these basic building blocks of grammar.
dTest after test, I just couldn't get it.
My teacher didn't give up on me though. She kept working with me, explaining it different ways, giving me extra time and attention. She knew that struggling with one thing didn't cancel out my talents in another.
Here's the thing - that experience taught me something I carry with me today...
Being brilliant at something doesn't mean you'll naturally understand everything in that same sphere. You can be a successful entrepreneur and still feel completely lost when it comes to understanding your body's signals.
Just like I needed my English teacher to help me understand prepositions, sometimes we need guides to help us decode what our bodies are trying to tell us.
👉 Here's what I really want you to know:
✨ Having to ask for help with something "basic" doesn't diminish your intelligence or success in other areas
✨ Your body isn't working against you - it's speaking a language you haven't learned to understand yet
✨ Just like grammar has rules that can be taught, your hormones have patterns that can be decoded
The same way my teacher sat with me in that hallway, breaking down prepositions into digestible pieces, I now help women understand their body's signals, their hormone patterns, and their unique biological rhythms.
💌 If you're feeling frustrated trying to understand your body's signals, or if you're tired of feeling like your hormones are working against you, let's decode this together. Send me a message, and let's start translating your body's language into something that makes sense for you.
Remember: You're not failing at understanding your body any more than I was failing at English. Sometimes we just need the right support to help us connect the dots. 🫂
Stay Gold!
