Stop Chasing the Puppet—
The following is a true story…
When I was five, my family took a trip to Sea World. It was the 90s, pre-Blackfish era—we didn’t know any better, so don’t come for me.
Anyway, I was adamant about getting a Shamu hand puppet. You know, the kind they sold everywhere—gift shops, show aisles—for $30 plus tax. (Side note: I just found one on eBay for $4.39… so that’s awkward.)
I was obsessed. So much so that I marched up to a cast member and asked where I could get one. Maybe I mumbled, maybe my hand-puppet charades were off—but something clearly got lost in translation.
The cast member’s response?
“Oh, would you like to ride Shamu?”
Me: “No… I just want a puppet.”
I didn’t even understand what she was offering. I was too fixated on the puppet. But then, during the show, another kid actually got to ride Shamu—or, more accurately, sit on him for a photo. STILL. That could’ve been me.
Why am I telling you this?
Because this story has played out in my life over and over again in different forms. And I don’t want it to happen to you.
I don’t want you to settle for what’s good when you could have what’s best.
I don’t want you to get so distracted by what you think you want that you miss out on what God has for you.
I don’t want you to treat the symptoms of a problem without addressing the root cause.
And I absolutely don’t want you to dream smaller because it feels “easier.”
That’s why I created Reclaiming Rhythms, a group program kicking off March 4th!
This program is about more than just solving symptoms. It’s about making the sunshine in your life—transforming your mindset, learning how to work with your body’s natural rhythms, and discovering how food affects your hormones so you can eat for optimal health.
No overpriced Shamu puppets. No quick fixes.
Maybe you’re wondering:
- “What if my cycle is so unpredictable that I can’t even plan around it?”
- “What if I don’t even know where to start?”
- “What if I’ve tried everything and nothing works?”
Here’s the truth:
Your symptoms aren’t random—they’re puzzle pieces. When you put them together, they reveal the bigger picture of your health.
God designed your body to function beautifully. When you return to that design, the frustration melts away, replaced by curiosity and balance.
This isn’t about knowing what to do cognitively—you probably already do.
It’s not about saving a relatable Instagram reel and thinking, “I’ll check back on this next period.”
This is about living it out. Mastering the habits that keep your body in balance… as effortlessly as sipping your coffee.
So let’s do this. Let’s stop riding the Shamu-sized roller coaster of frustration and start reclaiming the rhythms you were designed to live by.
Are you in?
