2025 Resolutions I'm NOT MAKING

As the world collectively leans into new year, new me energy, Iâm over here crossing some resolutions off my list before they even make it on.
Case in point: I will not be striving for morning light in 2025.
Itâs not that I donât see the benefitsâscience and plenty of Instagram influencers will remind you that catching the sunrise boosts your circadian rhythm, mood, and maybe even your vibe...
But hereâs the thing: Iâm a woman who keeps her promises, and this is not a promise I can keep. Itâs just not a priority right now.
While it might âlook good,â itâs not a heck yesâand if itâs not a heck yes, itâs a no.
Thatâs my litmus test.
What I am NOT focusing on this year:
- DIY-ing every home improvement project. But doors! I do need doors... that's another story for another time.
- Spending less time on my phone. Again, it sounds nice... but am I going to do it? Probably not. At least not right now. My Voxer chats and voice memos are giving me too much inspiration, accountability, and laughter.
- Making elaborate meal plans and cooking meals from scratch. Love the idea, but my meal prep and protein coffee keep me sane.
What I am focusing on this year:
- Syncing my work schedule with my ovulation cycle (yes, reallyâitâs been a game-changer).
- Hitting 10,000 steps daily.
- Pouring my heart into Reclaiming Rhythmâmy 12-week coaching program designed to help female entrepreneurs get off the emotional rollercoaster and into a rhythm that works for their body, relationships, and âget richâ goals.
I donât need a word of the year or lofty promises. I need an action plan.
One of my favorite reminders: 'The gap between what you're capable of and what you're doing is where the real work happens.'
So, instead of chasing 'potential,' I'm aiming to close the gap between what I say I want and what I'm actually doing.
